We make climbing products for the Scallywags, for the nomads and the dirtbags, the mischievous and adventurous.
We know that for a lot of people climbing is less a sport and more a lifestyle. A lifestyle of friends, fun and a bit of roughing it. Our gear is built around that lifestyle. Built to last and work. Built to look good enough for post-climb drinks, and cheap enough for the drifters. We’re for the athlete and the guy that just came to hang out.
One last thing- we call it Conscious Climbing. Getting to the top of the wall isn’t what it’s all about- being in nature, that’s what it’s all about. But what would we be doing if we didn’t look after it?
Less plastic, an increase in sustainablity and ethical labour are non-negotiable for us. We are constantly asking ourselves, “What can Scallywags do to have the greatest impact on South African climbing?”
